Ms. Jady Ho
Jady is my younger sister, or should I call her my "twin" (people have actually mistaken us as twins. Don’t ask me how). Since young, we have always shared almost everything, from barbie and cabbage patch kids dolls to clothes and shoes. The only thing which we hated sharing was food- we would each get half an egg tart or half a cup of Horlick when other kids were given a full tart or cup! Since we have very similar personalities, my sister usually understands my feelings/thoughts without me needing to say much. I have enjoyed spending the past 23 years growing up with her, and will definitely miss seeing her everyday.
Ms. Coleen Yoon
Coleen and I met in high school in English 10. Although we are both introverts and tend to be quite "shy", we click quite well together. Because of our common interests, we spent a lot of our time in our highschool and university years playing badminton, singing, and just hanging out. Not only is she always one of the first people to wish me a happy birthday at 11:55ish pm every year, she is also a friend who celebrates with you when you suceed and encourages you when you fall. I have always known that Coleen would be my bridesmaid if I were to get married one day (I even said it to her two years ago!). I am looking forward to having her by my side on my wedding day. She will likely tear up before I do:).
Ms. Wendy Cheung
Most people would agree that Wendy is one of a kind; she would always try to make time for her friends and loved ones. I first met Wendy in high school and we have continued to be close friends since then. Not knowing what to take in University, we somehow ended up majoring in Criminology after taking the intro course together in our first semester. Although we had no idea how a Crim. degree would lead us to a good job, we were there to support each other all along the way. Our God is so good and has provided us both with great jobs shortly after we convocated. Although Wendy can be reserved at times (and so can I), there is never an uncomfortable or dull moment with her. Andy and Wendy have been friends since kindergarten and we are both very excited to have her witness our big day!
Mr. James Lai
My brother and confidant. We don’t share a lot of commonalities (I would even dare to say we are almost the opposite of each other), but we somehow get along quite well. We compliment each other in very many different ways. Without saying a word, we are able to complete each other’s words or tasks. We are like the left and right hand of a body.
I am very fortunate to have an older brother who has shown me the ropes and opened my eyes to this world. He has given me much support and love over the years and I am continually grateful for him. Don’t worry bro, I’ll still be watching Running Man with you after I move out!
Mr. Harrison Fan
From stranger to good friend, Harrison has gone through with me some of the worst times in my life, but has also witnessed tremendous growth in me. He was the first person whom I met on campus during my first year in Waterloo. Ambitious and smart, I didn’t mix with him too much in first year. But somehow, we ended up being roommates and also each other’s support through undergrad. We share a lot of interests and can talk about tech, photography, cars and anything in between.
Thank you Harrison, for being there when I most needed it and for also continuing to support me in life. I’m looking forward to the day where we’ll both own a garage full of cars and bring them out for joy rides. (Or it could just be a Tesla for now).
Mr. Leo Chan
Reliable and dependable. We first met in high school when Leo moved to Canada from the UK. We weren’t the closest, but somehow God has brought us closer throughout the years- we even became baptism buddies! We’ve both gone through similar life altering events and because of God, we were able to find a new and better path/perspective in our lives.
It has been an interesting journey with you Leo. I am extremely happy that you have found your match with my childhood friend Wendy, and can’t wait to be a part of your wedding when you two get hitched!
